Dr. Javier Pérez is a Board-Certified, Glaucoma Fellowship-Trained Ophthalmologist who has performed thousands of ophthalmic surgeries. His practice focuses on the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and cataracts.

About Dr. Pérez

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he is the second of four children of César and Millie. After years of training and military service, he established his professional and personal life in Orlando, Florida. He is married to Dr. Lindsey Koss, an Ob-Gyn in Winter Park, FL, and they enjoy raising their twin boys together. In his free time, Dr. Pérez enjoys running, scuba diving, jogging, and skiing.

Military Service

Dr. Pérez proudly served in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps from 2004 to 2011.

National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD.

Undersea/Diving Medical Training

Naval Undersea Medicine Institute (Groton, CT) and Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center (Panama City, FL).

Pearl Harbor, Hawaii

Assigned as Undersea and Diving Medical Officer, providing support to the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Submarine Pacific Fleet, and Navy Dive School at Ford Island.

U.S. Navy Reserves

Following active duty, he served three years in the U.S. Navy Reserves at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
